Restoration
In this most unique of experiences, I was given a Persian-style knife made in the 1960's by a lady's brother who passed away in an untimely manner shortyl thereafter. To preserve his memory, she wanted to restore the knife he had made so many years ago and gift it to her grandson. After cleanly passing some rugged edge testing proceedures, I fitted a new handle of alternating layers of Kingwood, Buffalo Horn, and Fiber spacers with a 416 Stainless Full Guard and Pommel. I matched it with a tooled sheath and carved the name of the original maker on the sheath, while etching the grandson's name on the blade.
